Lost in Glamour, Blinded to Vision

It feels like we’re running low 😟on internal drive rather than financial resources to keep the organization moving forward.

I’ve been at this for over 14 months now as founders, plus recently transitioning from the stagnant employee mindset to pursuing our Ed-Tech venture🛠️ as a full time.

There's no doubt that education 📚 is an ever-thriving field, but the direction of our organization has come under scrutiny.

We seem to have lost sight of the core purpose of the company, getting caught up in superficial, glamorous ✨activities that ultimately yield little.

In reality, we’ve treated this platform as a backup career option rather than a primary focus. I want to take responsibility for my own shortcomings and how my lack of full commitment has led to significant setbacks for our business. 🧠🔄

In December 2020, when company was was initiated, I was uncertain and unable to fully commit to the startup, as I was still holding onto my full-time job.

Working remotely 💼⏳ only added to the challenge and I often saw the company as something that existed solely during the evening Google Meet calls.

It was quite a surprise to have my roommate Manas back in my life for professional reasons, especially after our collaboration during the 2019 SUIIT Techfest days had ended.

We've always achieved great outcomes when working together, but this time, in the journey of building a company, I feel I’ve fallen short as a co-founder.

I still lack the entrepreneurial mindset and vision necessary for this venture. We're complete opposites and that contrast is what has always made us a balanced professional team.💡

I still remember getting calls in the middle of my meetings, whether it was to get a logo designed, host a website or put together a brochure.

From the struggle of organizing a Moscow trip to hosting workshops for extra cash, we’ve somehow over-complicated things for both ourselves and our team. ☎️✈️💸

We’ve encountered plenty of people with big talk and grand dreams and somewhere along the way, we lost sight of why we started this journey.

As for me, moving forward, I plan to focus on learning new things and developing myself so I can bring more value and generate better results. Now, the question is: should we keep this company running?

I believe we need to take a fresh look at whether we’re still driven by our original purpose and how the balance sheet is shaping up each month.

If it’s not working, maybe it’s time to move on and start building something new!🌱 or May be take new approach to revive the current establishment!
